Petrol and Naira Crisis: TUC Gives FG 7-day Deadline.

The Federal Government has been given a seven-day deadline by the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) to find a long-term solution to the fuel shortage and the newly designed naira notes, which have put the general public in unimaginable misery.

State executives and members nationwide have been alerted by Congress to the possibility of further directives that could lead to a strike if the current situation is not addressed. The Congress criticized the federal in a statement that was jointly signed by Festus Osifo, its president and secretary general, and Nuhu Toro.

Nigerians had never before been known to have experienced such suffering due to the government’s stance on the new naira currency. The quote is as follows: “TUC members like the rest of the Nigerian populace are bewildered that the country is being dragged through the twin crises of currency and fuel shortages. “
