A memorandum of understanding was inked by the Federal Inland Revenue Service and the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service to enhance tax revenue generation. The agreement, according to the LIRS chairman who spoke at the ceremony, gives his organization the authority to investigate the operations of corporate organizations and prevent income losses.
The FIRS chairman advised Lagosians to have faith in their government and to understand that civilisation is the result of citizens’ efforts, not of natural causes. Also, to reassure Lagosians that a fourth Mainland Bridge, Lekki International Airport, and other crucial facilities they need from the government will be made achievable with this government’s additional funding.”
Sanwo-Olu thanked both chairmen for working together, noting that it was inspired rather than an accident to improve the quality of infrastructure in the country.
