The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has said the federal parliament will have no option but to reconvene before the presidential and National Assembly elections on February 25, if the Central Bank of Nigeria fails to address the hardships Nigerians are facing over the currency swap policy.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Director operations Tinubu-Shettima presidential council, Adams Oshiomhole, has accused Emefiele as the controversial ‘element’ in the Presidential Villa allegedly working against the interest of the presidential candidate of the APC.
Oshiomhole disclosed this while appearing on Channels TV Programme “Politics on Sunday” while discussing the new Naira notes controversy and claims of cabals.
“I will mention the CBN governor has cited his power under the law. He didn’t say that he was acting under pressure, so I prefer to believe the decision was the product of his womb, ill-conceived, ill-thought-out, and poorly timed to create hardship.
The former National Chairman of the APC commenting further said “I am sorry to say because it is not a secret that he wanted to contest and he paid 100 million for the APC nomination form and the president directed that all those who want to contest the election should resign, and I remember when he went to the Villa apparently to consult, on his way out they ask him have you been cleared?He added, “He said there will be big news soon.
