Employees of the Nigerian Ports Authority have expressed delight that the Federal Government has approved a pay increase for them.
Erazua Oniha, Deputy Secretary General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, stated that the union salaries were reviewed every 18 years. Over the weekend, the Minister of Transportation, Sambo Mu’azu Sambo, revealed the government’s decision to raise the salaries of NPA employees at the authority’s long service award.
Bello-Koko expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for the raise in staff salaries. He went on to say that one of the overarching goals of NPA’s management has been to equip its human capital resources to be the best.
