According to Chiedu Ogbo, the managing director of NDPHC, the electricity industry owes the company more more N100 billion at this point.

The National Integrated Power Projects, which include 10 power plants spread around the nation, are managed by NDPHC, a firm that is jointly controlled by the federal, state, and local governments.

In order to address the concerns of inadequate electric power generation and excessive gas flaring from oil exploration in the Niger Delta region, the NIPP was designed in 2004.

Ugbo also stated that the NDPHC had diversified into renewable energy, as it had installed 20,000 solar home units and planned to install another 20,000 in his speech at the 2022 conference for electricity correspondents.
