Nigeria: Minister Says Buhari will Leave 22,000 Megawatts of Electricity by 2023.

Abubakar Aliyu, the Minister of Power, estimates that by 2023, the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari would have installed 22,000 megawatts of energy. At the Presidential Score Card of the Ministry of Power in Abuja, he made this statement.

According to Aliyu, the administration has started a number of transformational initiatives to endow current megawatts with an additional 4,000 megawatts of generating capacity.

He stated that the 700 megawatt Zungeru Hydro Power Plant would be finished in the first quarter of 2023 as part of the plans to generate the additional 4,000 megawatts.

According to him, 105 Power Transformer projects totaling 6,216 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) to the grid were completed between 2015 and 2022.
