A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Nigerian and Saudi Arabian air accident investigation bodies in order to exchange information and enhance air safety in both nations’ airspaces.
The intention is to promote safety and prevent the recurrence of accidents, according to Abdulelah Felimban, Director-General of the Saudi Arabian Accident Investigation Bureau, who spoke to the media shortly after the agreement was signed.
Akin Olateru, the Commissioner/Chief Executive Officer of the Accident Investigation Bureau of Nigeria, also offered his opinion, stating that there was only one aviation in the world and that cooperation was the name of the game.
“Saudi Arabia will assist us in the area of developing human capital; we can engage ideas and it’s all about enhancing safety for the general flying public.”
