The Research and Development of Satellite Internet Broadband Project, which would bring in N28 billion over a 15-year period, has been granted a concession by the Nigerian government.
Additionally, the project will aid Nigeria’s efforts to combat insecurity. The concession also aims to deploy more than 7,000 Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs) across Nigeria over the course of the following two years.
By 2025, the federal government intends for 70% of the population to have access to broadband, and NIGCOMSAT will continue to collaborate with other technology companies to offer broadband services to all Nigerians.
