Senate Committee summons Zainab Ahmed about the Humanitarian Ministry’s Budget’s Unaccounted N206 billion

Zainab Ahmed, the minister of finance, budget, and national planning, has been called before the senate committee on special tasks in relation to the insertion of N206 billion into the ministry of humanitarian affairs’ 2023 budget.

When Sadiya Farouq, the minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development, went before the panel to defend the ministry’s 2023 budget, Yusuf Yusuf, the head of the committee, issued the summons.

A committee member named Ishaku Abbo questioned Farouq about the types of projects that would be carried out with the N206 billion the minister planned to borrow.
