United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc. Africa’s Global Bank, has reaffirmed its commitment to the expansion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) throughout the continent.
This is seen by the increasing investment it has given to these companies in Nigeria and other African countries.
This information was provided by Muyiwa Akinyemi, the bank’s deputy managing director. During his statement at the opening of the 2022 Lagos International Trade Fair, for which the bank has served as the primary sponsor partner since 2019.
Akinyemi, who addressed the subject: “SMEs continue to be the cornerstone of every nation’s economic progress, according to the report Connecting Businesses, Creating Value.
UBA is currently leading this collaboration in six West African countries that are pilot projects. Thisincludes, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia, and Gambia.”
