Toyota Tsusho Establishes “Health54,” a Startup Investment in the Healthcare Field in Africa.
Toyota Tsusho Corporation (“Toyota Tsusho”) announced that its subsidiary CFAO SAS (“CFAO”) has founded Health54 SAS (“H54”), a corporate venture capital firm that focuses on startup investments in the quickly expanding African health technology sector.
On October 12, 2022, the business made its first investment in Lifestores Healthcare (“Lifestores”), a Nigerian healthcare startup.
Lifestores has created technology to enhance pharmacy operations, protect and reinforce procurement procedures, and manage the health of patients with chronic conditions in the wake of the introduction of a network of retail pharmacies in Nigeria in 2017.
With the intention of granting widespread access to inexpensive and dependable medications in Nigeria, Lifestores developed OGApharmacy in 2020, an online pharmaceutical marketplace for hospitals and pharmacies.
