According to market statistics issued, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited’s stock of Premium Motor Spirit, often known as gasoline, decreased by 5,481,239 liters.

Even though there was just a little decrease in PMS supplies, there were still lines for gasoline in Abuja, Nasarawa, Niger, and several other northern states.

According to statistics from the NMDPRA as of November 7, 2022, this fell to 1,907,244,225 liters; a decrease of 5,481,239 liters, while the number of days sufficient was 30.84. For years, NNPC has been the only importer of gasoline into Nigeria.

Despite the NMDPRA’s assertions that there was enough gasoline for over 30 days; there were still long lines for gasoline in numerous northern regions. Instead, many filling stations were close because there wasn’t enough gasoline to go around.

According to the Petroleum Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, tankers are now to wait more than a week in lines at gas stations.

Punch.
