The Federal Government is advocating for $400 billion in funds to aid in the implementation of Nigeria’s Energy Transition Plan.

The 27th Conference of Parties, often known as COP27, is now taking place in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. This is according to Mohammed Abdullahi, the environment minister.

His remarks on the Federal Government’s expectations at the conference; which were accessible to our reporter by the Federal Ministry of Environment in Abuja, contained this information.

Abdullahi said, “Nigeria would also concentrate on climate financing to support its initiatives in the Sahel Region as the head of the Pan African agency for the Great Green Wall. “We’ll organize the action plan of the African continent to urge that wealthier nations take significant climate expenditure action.

Punch.
