According to the Federal Government, 650 000 foreign passport booklets were in print in 2022, 100,000 fewer than the 750 000 applicants that year.
The Nigerian Immigration Service generated 1. 9 million passports between June 2021 and June 2022, according to Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola, who stated this in Lagos during a celebration for Philip Consulting Limited’s 30th anniversary.
Aregbesola stated that there had been a 30% increase in passport applications between 2021 and 2022. He was at the ceremony by one of his special aides, Ademola Adeyinka.
Between June 2021 and June 2022, the NIS manufactured 1.9 million passports. He further mentioned that the Federal Government has processed and granted 1,219 business permits.
