In a video conference call with bankers who are helping to finance the deal, Elon Musk promised to close his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter by Friday, 28 October, according to Bloomberg News.
According to the story, the banks have completed drafting the final credit agreement; they are currently signing the paperwork as one of the last steps towards transferring funds to Musk.
A person with knowledge of the situation told Reuters that South Korea’s Mirae Asset Financial Group intends to contribute approximately 300 billion Korean won ($208 million); this is to help finance Elon Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of Twitter Inc.
For the acquisition, Musk has promised to contribute $46. 5 billion in equity and debt funding, covering the $44 billion purchase price. A total of 13 billion dollars in debt financing will be provided by banks; including Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Corp., to back the purchase.
