392K Hectares Of Farmland Destroyed, Bringing The Number Of Affected Nigerians To 3.2 Million.
According to the Nigerian government, 3.2 million Nigerians are currently affected by flooding. It was noted that the government has already provided assistance in 21 states.
Sadly, 612 Nigerians are now dead, and 392,399 hectares of cropland have been completely destroyed.
Over 1. 4 million people have been internally displaced; 2,776 people have been hurt; 612 people have died; and 181,600 homes have suffered partial damage.
Some states and municipal governments can be difficult to contact and are inaccessible. As a result, the government was collaborating with military disaster response units and other stakeholders with specialized knowledge and tools to deliver vital relief supplies to hard-to-reach places and at-risk populations.
