United States Returns 23 Looted Items Back To Benin, Nigeria with Plans To Open an International Exhibition.

Through the National Gallery of Art, the Rhode Island School of Design, and the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, the United States has given back 23 stolen Benin Bronzes to Nigeria.

It was declared that as soon as the items are returned, he will begin an international traveling exhibition. During the British Empire’s invasion of Benin in 1897, the Benin Bronzes were stolen.
