Kogi Flooding Leads to Fuel Shortage in Abuja, Says NNPC.

The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) blames the current fuel shortage in Abuja and other neighboring states on fuel trucks’ inability to enter Lokoja routes.

This is because the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), which informed the public that there was enough fuel supply; and advises against making hasty purchases while measures were to address the fuel shortage at specific filling stations in Abuja and the neighborhood.

“The current line-up situation in several areas of Abuja and its surroundings is due to fuel truck arrival delays. This is taking place as a result of significant floods that has flooded portions of the highway.

In addition to reiterating the NNPC, the NMDPRA requested gasoline marketers to stop stockpiling the items.
