According to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited; output losses at crude oil terminals totaled 8.14 million barrels in July 2022.
According to the FAAC study, which TheCable was able to receive, some of the nation’s terminals had crude losses that prevented them from producing oil at their peak levels, or shutting in output.
The Bonga terminal, according to NNPC, lost 658,085 barrels of oil production as a result of repairs.
From July 1 to July 31, 329,000 barrels of oil production were stray at the Yoho terminal.
Brass terminal was close due to “theft activities and unlawful connections” after receiving little crude oil, according to NNPC. Consequently, 315,000 barrels of oil loss was in record, affecting export operations from July 1 to 30.
