Mudassir Amray has emerged as the new chief executive officer of Union Bank. He became the CEO of Titan Trust Bank Limited, a subsidiary of TGI Group. Many have lauded the brain behind Titan Trust Bank Limited for leading one of the biggest deals in the Nigerian banking industry. The deal involved a two-year-old bank gaining an over 100-year-old bank.
The banker has experience in foreign and local banks, which helped to strengthen his hold on leadership and decision-making. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from National College, University of Karachi.
Amray is a seasoned banker with a well-rounded experience of over 25 years in senior management roles. With a proven track record of adaptability in six geographical regions, including the USA, Nigeria, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Pakistan.
Before moving to Titan Trust Bank, Amray was with Citibank and New York, where he spent most of his career. He held various senior positions at Citibank and other foreign & local banks throughout his career. He is also very much experienced in corporate banking, investment banking, treasury, trade, and retail banking. All these give him the balance needed to drive effectiveness.
