China is to donate an additional $30 million to the World Health Organization (WHO) to support efforts to combat the coronavirus, China’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said on Thursday.

Hua said on Twitter that the donation was aimed at strengthening developing countries’ health systems and added that China had already donated $20 million to the WHO in March.

Meanwhile, Australia will push for an international investigation into the coronavirus pandemic at next month’s annual meeting of the World Health Assembly, according to the country’s prime minister on Thursday.
